Desde ser acto de telón para el mùsico británico Tricky a encabezar importantes festivales internacionales, Leche, el trabajo del músico y productor Leandro Muñoz, quien junto a las versátiles Celeste Shaw y Javiera Benavente en voces femeninas, Luis Lemus en bajo y Francisco Seguel en batería sobre el escenario, da vida a un kaleidoscopio de sonido multigénero influenciado por un amplio rango de estilos de música alternativa y electrónica incluyendo elementos de jazz, soul, dub y pop creando un particular estilo descrito como "de un sonido rico, oscuro y temperamental con una fuerte firma trip-hop" (MTV Iggy).

Leandro además es un activo colaborador de diferentes artistas tanto chilenos como extranjeros, ya sea como productor, colaborador, ingeniero o remixer con créditos que incluyen artistas como Tricky, Radiohead, Surrounded (Suecia), Hideka (Japón) y Crosses, por mencionar algunos. Además, junto a los productores húngaros PabloSlam y KINZOisHERE, es el creador y director del sello Sounds of Mass Distraction, etiqueta que nació como una forma de aunar sus trabajos como productores bajo un mismo nombre y para crear un puente de intercambio creativo entre artistas chilenos y europeos, que hoy ya cuenta con representación en Santiago, Budapest y Madrid.

Leche se ha destacado por una activa y sólida presencia sobre el escenario llegando a ser comparados con "el sonido de PJ Harvey, Massive Attack o Sneakers Pimps pero con un giro moderno" (Mike Galaxy, BandPromote. EE.UU) y cuya música acumula excelentes críticas y elogios destacando tanto en medios nacionales de Chile como internacionales que entre sus hitos más destacados incluye ser ganador como 'Mejor Canción Electrónica 2014' en los Premios Solo Artistas Chilenos (SACH), ser incluídos entre los 25 Mejores Videos de Latino América del 2013 en el sitio especializado El Parlante Amarillo y ser etiquetados por la prensa británica como "La nueva raza de la electrónica y trip-hop", con un ejercito de radios y prensa especializada destacando su trabajo en el extranjero y una amplia radiodifusión en lugares tan diversos y distantes de su natal Chile como Hungría, España, Estonia, México, Estados Unidos, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Francia, Italia, Rusia y Reino Unido, siendo en éstos dos últimos los ejemplos más emblemáticos incluyendo entrar reiteradas veces en el chart en Rusia como Mejor Artistas y Mejor Canción en radios como Sochi Lounge, Ololo FM y en los charts de rankings musicales de Yandex Music, y en Reino Unido que se ha convertido en la gema de la corona para la banda siendo destacados desde la BBC a entrar al Chart Top20 en diversas ocasiones en Amazing Radio, quienes se han referido a Leche como "Uno de los mejores artistas de todo el mundo que está haciendo algo realmente nuevo" (Mark Ryan, Amazing Beats), por mencionar solo algunos ejemplos. Lo anterior es coronado al ser nombrados Embajadores Artísticos de Sziget Festival, representando el nombre de Chile y Latinoamérica en el que es hoy oficialmente el Festival con la Mejor Cartelera de Europa (Festivals Awards), lo que pavimenta el camino a una de las nuevas experiencias musicales provenientes del Cono Sur de América, Chile.

BIOGRAPHY

An artist who has gone from support act for Tricky to headlining international festivals: Leche, is the work of chilean musician and producer Leandro Muñoz, who with the versatiles singers Celeste Shaw and Javiera Benavente on female voices, Luis Lemus in bass and Fracisco Seguel on drums on stage, creates a sonic-visual kaleidoscope with an unique multi-genre sound influenced by a wide range of electronica and alternative styles, with touches of jazz, soul, dub and pop elements. MTV lggy describes their sound as  “rich, dark and moody with a strong trip-hop signature”.

Leandro works and strongly helps to build a bridge between the chilean and international music scene. He is an active contributor in the development of many artists from Chile and abroad, whether for aesthetic or his experience, designing their sound as producer or featured artist, engineer or remixer, which credits includes remixes for Tricky, Radiohead, swedish band Surrounded, japanese Hideka and Crosses to name a few, as well as work as curator for a Klassika Raadio’s special show in Estonia, introducing to the Baltic region the most finest selection of Chilean music, including folklore and native music to jazz, electronica, pop and everything in between. Leandro is also the founder of Sounds of Mass Distraction, an independent label that searches and develops an artistic exchange between latin America and European artists.

Leche - who have an incredibly strong presence and sound on stage - are very active in the live front even described like “the sound of PJ Harvey, Massive Attack or Sneakers Pimps with a modern twist” (Mike Galaxy, BandPromote, USA). Gathering compliments and accolades in both domestic and international music media which highlights include wining as ‘Best Electronica Song 2014’ in SACH Awards (Solely Chilean Artists Awards), named in the Top25 Best Music Videos of Latin America in 2013 by massive colombian specialized site El Parlante Amarillo and labeled by british media as “The new breed of trip-hop”.
With a radio and music site’s army on their back talking about their work including radio airplay in places such as diverse from their native Chile as Spain, Estonia, Hungary, Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Russia and United Kingdom, some of these are the most prominent examples including to make it many times in the chart as Best Artist and Best Song in Russian radios like Sochi Lounge, Ololo FM as well as in Yandex Music, United Kingdom it becomes the jewel in the crown for the band to be featured by BBC and entering the Top20 Chart many times on Amazing Radio who refers to Leche as “One of the finest artists who made something really new all over the world” (Mark Ryan, Amazing Beats), just to name a few.  All of this is crowned to be named Sziget Festival’s Artistic Ambassador facing the name of Chile and Latin America in which is today officially the Best European Line-Up Festival, which paves it´s way for one of the most exciting new music experiences from the southern cone of America, Chile.
